BrockTV (BTV) is Brock University's student-powered media company, housed at Brock University. They provide on-campus coverage of live sports, student clubs, and original content for the entertainment of fellow Brock Badgers.
In 2017, the BTV team wanted a change in brand identity and awareness on campus. The tagline "by students, for students." was created. This messaging outlined their target market for students, staff, and faculty alike.
BTV is now one of the largest student-run, on-campus media companies in Canada.
Drop the ".ca"
As part of the BTV rebrand, I designed a new logo; we were able to simplify their branding, and increase the perception of professionalism. Paired with the new tagline, this primary logo was the perfect watermark to add to their content on YouTube, and livestreams.
As the BrockTV graphic designer at the time, I was able to work with the BTV team to create various promotional and marketing materials, which aligned strategically with the new branding. The goal to replace the old brand (aged 12 years old) was achieved, and the new look is recognized, and respected as a professional service on campus.
